We recently got some great news: the Congressional Budget Office estimates that implementing the Rural Access to Hospice Act would only cost $5 million over ten years.

While that sounds like a lot of money to us normal folks, in the scheme of the United States budget, that is not a lot of money. That is great news for us, because it means that passing the Rural Access to Hospice Act just became a lot more likely!

We need to make sure every Member of Congress knows that not only is the Rural Access to Hospice Act a great, bi-partisan bill that would improve access to hospice in rural and under-served communities, but it is also affordable.

Ask Congress to Cosponsor the Rural Access to Hospice Act (H.R.2594/S.1190)

Please take a few minutes today to email or call your Members of Congress and ask them to cosponsor the Rural Access to Hospice Act.

The Action Alert also has pre-filled forms that you can use to post on Twitter, Facebook, and submit a Letter to the Editor about the Rural Access to Hospice Act. Please help us get the word out!
