In case you missed it – the Rural Access to Hospice Act (RAH) was reintroduced in the House on May 9th by Congressman Ron Kind (D-WI) and Congresswoman Jackie Walorski (R-IN) as H.R. 2594! RAH now has bipartisan, bicameral support and if enacted, would ensure that individuals in the final stages of life have access to hospice care no matter where they live, and to the attending physician of their choice. Since the bill’s reintroduction, hospice and palliative care advocates across the country have sent over 2,100 emails to Congressional offices asking for support of RAH.  Here are the states who’ve sent the most emails:

The work can NOT stop here! We must be relentless in our efforts to close the gap in access and utilization to hospice care. Ask your Member of Congress to cosponsor the Rural Access to Hospice Act by completing this Action Alert.
