The Hospice Action Network needs your help to grow. A robust grassroots approach to advocacy is one of the core objectives of HAN. Your representatives might be in Washington for most of the year, but they’re there to serve you. By becoming a local advocate, you have the ability to serve as a valuable resource to your Members of Congress, as well as apply gentle pressure when needed. As of early 2011, the NHPCO HAN has almost 50,000 members. That’s 50,000 people who are willing to call their Congressional offices and tell the story of how important Hospice is in their local community! But, we need more voices.
This recruitment kit will assist you in becoming an effective Hospice Advocate as well as help you to recruit others to the cause. You’ll find suggestions for letter writing, and the key challenges that hospice faces (along with some solutions, of course…). Take a look at the kit, and forward it on to your friends- the more people in the Hospice Action Network, the stronger the case for hospice.
