Hospice Action Network Capitol Hill Day 2012

Policies and Terms:

You have registered by mail/fax/phone to attend Capitol Hill Day 2012, and we are so glad that you have chosen to invest your energy in Hospice Advocacy during this critical time for the end-of-life care community!

Please read the following conditions of participation and fill out the form below:
  • Attending the Hill Day programming on the evening of Tuesday, March 27 is a mandatory prerequisite to attending Hill Day on March 28. Unfortunately there are no exceptions to this policy.
  • Pre-registration is required for all Capitol Hill Day events. March 1 is the close of registration for the Strategy Session and Capitol Hill Day. Anyone not registered will not be scheduled for NHPCO HAN Hill meetings, accommodated in the Strategy Sessions or be provided transportation to the Hill, Hospice Action Network Respite Room and Congressional meetings.
  • To meet the needs of our West Coast Advocates and allow participation in Tuesday pre-conference offerings, the Strategy Sessions will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27.

Additionally:
  • As our records indicate that you have attended Hill Day within the past two years, you are not required to participate in our ‘Hill Day Basics’ webinar before you arrive onsite, but you are welcome to register for it if you would like a refresher. Webinar registration is handled in the next step of the registration process.
  • An additional optional webinar featuring advanced advocacy training will also be available to all Hill Day registrants in the next step of registration.
  • At the request of Congressional offices, Hill meetings are scheduled based on the residential address (i.e. where you vote) of attendees. If you wish to request additional meetings to see Members of Congress that represent your hospice program’s service area, we can usually accommodate those requests. However, it is your responsibility to request these meetings by indicating your interest at the end of this registration process. All schedule requests must be received prior to the close of Hill Day registration.
  • There is not a fee to attend any of the Hill Day or Strategy Session events for NHPCO members and MLC attendees.

Please understand that these policies are necessary for the hospice community to have the most effective presence on Capitol Hill. They are the product of direct requests from previous Hill Day attendees. In the space provided below, please indicate that you agree to these policies and adjustments as a contingency to your participation in NHPCO-sponsored Capitol Hill activities.

By providing your information below below, you accept the terms, conditions of participation in NHPCO and Hospice Action Network-sponsored Capitol Hill activities.
